Place posters out with a clear picture and contact number
Contact your local warden and vets
Knock on neighbours doors ask them to check their yards/sheds/garages/greenhouses
Social Network sites like facebook/twitter/myspace etc are also good tools to use as people will share your message around.
It's also worth keeping an eye on the freeads for people posting up about pets they've found and are trying to pass on/sell.
