Nora, American Bulldog, DOB 04.07 – Farnham, Surrey
Homing requirements: Nora needs a loving family around her to offer her that "you are the centre of our Universe feeling". Nora needs regular walks but can't tolerate too much activity; Nora needs to lose weight to optimise her joints. Nora could live with well behaved respectful children; she likes her space and like all Bulldogs isn't going to be happy with her ears pulled or insensitive intrusion.
Her Story: Nora was one of a litter of pups who came into rescue. It was suggested she might have mild Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) in one hock at 9 months. This can cause joint pain and sporadic lameness improving on rest. Nora was homed to her rescuer for this reason; BUT has only had one episode in her 4 years. Nora is neutered, vax'd and chipped.
Advert: Nora is not ignorable! Simply adorable! She gives the impression of 'Big bulldog'. She is very welcoming and obedient to voice and command. She seeks affection and is a big cuddle. Nora does need to lose some weight and tone up, becoming more involved in household duties and family activities. She walks well on the lead and if anything her instincts outside are to be a little scared of sudden approaches. She could live with male dog but not an unplayful one. Travels well in the car.
Nora is dazzling white, with deep tan patches with eyes to match. She was born in April 2007. She walks with an entertaining wiggle, her tail sailing on high, She isn't a puller, she wants to be with you, yet exploring also. She enjoys pottering around the garden. Nora is a heart stealer and a tender soul.
