Homing Requirements: Doogs needs a stable family who, due to his age (10 years), can provide for his future requirements be that without easy insurance cover. Doogs is fostered with a dear placid dog and could manage similar or happily be an only!
His Story: Doogs was found stray but many dogs are hand-ins 'supposed strays'. Apart from a few points on his joints where he has nibbled or licked he is in good health and just needs conditioning; he is naturally losing weight through exercise. Now neutered, vax'd and was already chipped. Doogs was his name on his ID chip. Fostered in Brighton with an elderly Staffie.
Advert: Doogs is a grand old boy! Jolly nature in company, strutting around and happy to be comfortable on the sofa. He loves his bed and is oblivious to goings on after a walk or with one eye watching. If you're busy he'll follow you around engaging his nose and lapping up gifted pats. He isn't overtly 'licky' so when you're snuggled up and he plants a few on your cheek you feel the tenderness and the love that portrays. Doogs is housetrained and can be left for 3-4 hour periods without event. Doogs was a little wary on arrival meeting his host foster sister but her energy was so gentle and un-intrusive that he was soon relaxed and now they are easy and up close in one another’s company. He can put on a little front on meeting some dogs but his fosterer is distracting and treating and he is learning to be out and about with ease also.
Doogs is very much the grand old Duke! His needs are simple and his gratitude enormous. He has good sight and hearing. We had his teeth checked and apart from a few spots on his legs where he licks and nibbles; his health is A1 with no heart murmur detected. So plenty of life in the old boy yet! In fact his life is just getting very interesting indeed ... do you want to be part of it! Perfect for a work from homer who would enjoy a break with a stroll to the nearest outside coffee venue. Doogs is a life style choice for the favoured!
