Jill Phipps Day 1 Feb commemorates the awful day in 1995 when Jill in a protest against Live Exports at Coventry Airport was crushed under the wheels of a cattle truck.17 years on people of Ramsgate will be gathering outside HSBC Bank on Sat 4 Feb @ 11am for a walk to the Port of Shame to hold a memorial for Jill, where a laying of a wreath of purple poppies will remember both Jill and the thousands of animals that have passed through Ramsgate Port in the last 8 months only to meet with a grizzly end.
