Percy, Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 07 - Bognor Regis, West Sussex
Homing Requirements: Percy will suit Jack fans. He is off lead and fluent with dogs. Not for cats or live in children: supervised around visiting children he is super. Percy could easily live with another dog or as an only dog. Non-confrontational approach.
His Story: Percy was found stray and homed without homecheck in with very young children. He nipped a child whilst unsupervised and was returned. Terrierrescue took him on to our books. Percy found his home and settled quickly with his owner who had no qualms about offering another terrier a home a year later. They lived happily together but their relationship broke down. Percy's owner is broken hearted to rehome Percy, but feels he is the easier dog. Percy is currently fostered by her parents with their Labrador. Percy is neutered, vax'd and chipped.
Advert: Percy; read Perfect! Now let’s just frame that with the words Perfect Terrier! Percy is an easy terrier in our books. He meets dogs well outside and most dogs well inside the house. He loves people/children with the exception of post-persons! Letter cage required as Percy can offer post shredding service on entry! Doesn't like fireworks, will hide. Loves the car and rides on the back seat with a harness. Busy tinker!
Percy is a short legged black and white Jack. Black and white does sum him up in the sense he has predictable elements. Once you know Percy, he is easy to read and befriends visitors after initial welcoming. Management is about recognising his clear body language and a harmonious relationship ensues. Any Terrier fan knows terriers are their own people.
