she really is a friend of mine that used to breed before she decided with all the cats out there it was best not to add to the pool, she says she has the characteristics of a NFC but beautiful either way and doing so well on her special protocol she has been going some days of 24 hours before needing insulin so watch this space

Tilly is beautiful!! I hope her diabetes is under control very soon. Not so much now, but over the past couple of years, Diesel has been to hell and back with his mouth problems. He had his first dental in 2008, and within 6 months needed another, while his gums just kept getting redder and redder. 2 years ago, he was diagnosed FIV+ and also suffering from the immune system disorder, FGS. We tried treatment after treatment, and nothing worked for more than a few weeks at a time, so in March last year, we removed all of his teeth. By that point, you could see he was in obvious pain everytime he tried to eat and was even painful to groom himself. 3 months after having all his teeth out, his gums if anything were worse, but he didn't struggle so much to eat and then I stumbled on what I believe has pretty much cured him. He had a few days of the runs, so I tried some probiotic yogurt which sorted out the runs, but after only a couple of weeks, also seemed to make his gums less red. Several months on, most of the redness has gone, and Diesel has his 3 metacam syringes full of Yeo Valley probiotic yogurt sryinged into his mouth daily. It has been a battle, but he seems in really good health of late and is eating more dry food than wet after having stopped eating it completely about 2 years ago. He has been such a good boy with all the tablets and now we are down to just his daily yogurt ;D
