This is my Feebs ( official name - Phoebe ). I rescued Feebs a long time ago, it seems, probably only 18 months or so back. She came in with 3 other cats, probably her sisters and her mum. She is approx 5 years old. I am only looking for a new guardian for her as she quite simply hates other animals, dogs and cats at least, and is so stressed and unhappy in their company. They too, feel the same, as they can't even walk past her without a sound thrashing around the head and face. I love her dearly but I have always promised my friends that I will not insist they live with me if they are not happy. She clearly is not. She has lived in a family situation, albeit a volatile one, with two young children. One of them, a young boy of maybe 9 year, suffered with ADHD, autism and tourette's, and was the loveliest child. Now that is something coming from me, as children don't usually even register on my radar!! However, I think perhaps she would prefer it, if she went to a family, for the children to be older. Or ideally an older couple who could devote all their time and energies on her, and who would not consider finding her a companion. She would not approve. She is, with people, a lovely, affectionate and funny girl, with her meercat impersonations and her high fives. (You have to see her do it to understand). But she also likes her own company. She has always been an outdoor cat but unfortunately Feebs lives in a household where she has been exposed to the herpes virus, which is contagious to other cats but will not infect other species, including humans. She has, despite her stress, only ever been symptomatic once, a long time ago, and is otherwise fit and healthy, and very beautiful. However, because she is almost certainly a carrier she should not be exposed to other cats and a secure garden would be wonderful for her, as she does love to go outside. If anybody is seriously interested in her I will have her tested to be absolutely sure if she is carrying the virus. Even if she is, in the right environment, and where she is content, she may never show signs of it again. She is housetrained, and very clean in her habits and would like nothing more than a warm lap and a kind hand that she never has to share with anyone else, ever again. She has mad moments(usually after a visit to the litter tray)and can be playful but here she is always aware of the others around her and never completely lets her guard down. She has been microchipped. She will be a loving and loyal companion to the right guardian(s), and you will be very lucky to have her in your life. There will be no set donation for her in view of the circumstances but if you would like to make a small contribution please could you send it to Feline Network, who's details I will give to you after you have had your home visit. Please email me at tezalexander@yahoo.co.uk.
Thanks, and Feebs and I look forward to hearing from you soon,
God Bless,
Terry.
