POSTED ON BEHALF OF WALKIES DOG RESCUE
Max is 18 months old he came to Walkies along with his best pal Barney they were being re homed due their owners having to move abroad because of work commitments. It was not a decision they came to lightly and it was a very sad day. Max loves to play fetch and best of all adores his cuddles. We are looking for an active family home for Max with people who have time for lots of cuddles. If that’s you please contact us and come along to meet Max!
Stage 1
Max was nervous at first and it took a while to coax him out of his shell he loves people he is just nervous off other dogs. We spent a while the first night playing fetch in the field with just Max and Barney they had great fun. Barney is the more confident of the two they are great at sharing the stick or ball when playing fetch its nice to see two dogs with such nice manners and mutual respect for each other. Max has greatly improved on his nervousness with other dogs and our Collie Jae has taken him under his wing. Max is a bit of a ladies man too and has got a liking for Eva the Lab x Gsd and he adores Bella the Beagle.
Stage 2
Max is a lot more confident around other dogs he’s a very quiet obedient dog. He loves to play but even this I feel is done in a controlled manner. He does love a good back rub and he gets a lot of pleasure from just being with you pottering about the garden. He would suit a retired older couple to with grand children. At training Max has done well he knows all general commands and he adores praise. Max loves treats too especially the bacon rasher pieces you can buy. I have been doing clicker training with Max this week he has really enjoyed it and learns very fast. He dosen’t like getting things done wrong either and puts 100 % into each session.
