Homing Requirements: Rickie is a great family dog. Rickie is an inclusive dog i.e. 'sofa and bed' rather than down in the kitchen dog. He needs gentle intros with dogs to develop his self confidence and confident management when dogs bound over. Rickie can pull on the lead so would benefit from a Gencon or Halti initially.
His Story: Rickie was being beaten as a pup and the breeder insisted he was returned. He was homed with very young children as an only pet though his own never had the confidence in his breed to walk him so Rickie needed to learn about being out and about. Not for cats. He was homed for 4 months but it proved too busy a household for him with 3 very young children and got perturbed when dogs rushed over. We neutered, chipped and vax'd.
Advert: Rickie still has a puppy innocent feel about him though now 3 years old. His confidence has developed outside on his walks and Rickie enjoys company and meets dogs well on lead. He has always lived with children and is a great friend to adults to. Rickie is housetrained and delights travelling in the car. Rickie has a huge following willing his forever family find he real soon!
Rickie has a beautiful orange brindle coat, is well meaning and simply needs an owner who can instill confidence in him so he can reveal his many gifts. He learning to relax on walks. A great dog in the house and lived with young children. Rickie loves his toys and company, and is so easy to cuddle up with. The puppy dogs is now a mature, caring dog; a softee...or special smoothie.
