This is a something that REALLY needs to be brought into force.
We'd like to also include the original breeders name to be left on microchips as a 2nd name, this way animals ending up in Pounds/Rescues can be traced to breeders and either returned (if circumstances are safe to do so) or breeders can be fined.
Breeders should be responsible for any puppies they bring into the world from birth till death. A RESPONSIBLE breeder should be in contact with anyone they rehome to.
